Zoos are contradictory places, caught between caring and exercising power. sensational view, tired screams (2025) shows how our view of animals is shaped by centuries-old ideas and a normalized thirst for sensation. From the perspective of a human and a gorilla, the video installation offers analytical yet poetic insights into a seemingly familiar space.
This place becomes a mirror of a hierarchical order in which longing and control are inextricably intertwined.
